Geoffrey Chaucer  is catapulted through time and having given up literature and taken up being a total bad-ass in a fight,  meets Eomer,  who is also so very far from home. He then kills all the vampires forever, civilisation spreads back across the earth, he gets his tattoo removed and decides to take up professional tennis in a big way.  Whereupon he falls in love with a lass with a thing for spiders  and adopts as his brother a soldier once wrongfully accused of a crime Sherlock Holmes committed.  And when he dies, for his service to mankind he is given the position of archangel. But then God wants to destroy the world so he saves it, again, and Sherlock Holmes, who is now a playboy billionaire genius,  is so in awe that he records Geoffrey’s voice to keep as his personal computer system.
